Accessibility

The museum is keen to welcome everyone into our building, and to make our spaces accessible to all. Access to our ground floor rooms is step free and we have recently installed a user-operated stairlift to the first floor. Information about our exhibits is available on audio handsets and via interactive screens in addition to the written information on wall-boards and labels.

Entry to the Museum is free for disabled visitors and their carers, and service dogs are welcome. Please let the steward on duty know if you require extra support for your visit and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.

There are two parking spaces for blue badge holders in the public car parking area, directly opposite the Museum entrance (charges apply 7am-6pm) and an accessible toilet is also available across the road (please ask the steward for the key).

We look forward to welcoming you soon!
