Join the History Explorers this summer and discover lots of exciting history at the museum. We have a special summer trail and puzzles for you to o on your way around and there are going to be lots of fun, hands-on, family friendly activities going on in our brand new gazebo, just outside. This page will have all the details of what’s coming up, but we are starting with a chance to have a go at pottery, making Roman style clay pots, on JULY 19th. Come along any time between 11 and 3 to see what it’s all about!
On July 20th, we will be at Smallhythe for the the Smallfest Festival of Archaeology, so you can come along and see us there as well!

With your summer Past Pass, you can collect stamps for the different activities you do here at the museum. If you collect 3 stamps, you’ll get a special History Explorer badge and, if you collect 6 stamps, you will receive a SUPER Explorer badge. There are lots of activities and games to play on both floors and there will be lots of additional activities in the gazebo this summer too.
