This year we are giving Members an exclusive opportunity to find out more about the collection in the Museum. At 7pm on the last Thursday of each month, we will have a talk linked to something special in our collection. Where appropriate, we will get out items from the collection to allow a closer examination. The following sessions have been confirmed:
Date | Speaker | Topic |
April 18th | Peter Foster | Reminiscences of Hop Picking |
May 16th | Naomi Dickens | Tenterden Tapestry 50th Anniversary |
June 20th | Jack Gillett | A postcard history of the High Street, from The Crown to the Print Room (Caxton) |
July 18th | Richard Parsons | Metal detecting at Heronden Hall |
August 15th | Paul Ryley | Weights and measures – where did they come from? |
September 19th | Roland Hunt | Iron & Steel |
Patrons and Members will be given priority access to these events.
BOOKING IS REQUIRED FOR ALL OF THESE EVENTS.
Entry is free for Patrons and Members, but places are limited.
To reserve your place, please contact Mike O’Neill on [email protected]
Refreshments will be served after each talk to allow attendees to discuss the topic with the speaker and each other.
